Your Guide to Out-of-This-World Snacks for a Veronica Mars Viewing Party

by Sara N. and Megan S.

What's better than celebrating our third anniversary with dinner and a movie?  Why, celebrating with a viewing of Veronica Mars and a dinner of appropriately themed foods, of course! And that's exactly what we'll be doing this Friday night when the groundbreaking movie is released in theaters and for digital download.

If you're like Sara and are planning on watching the movie at home because it isn't available in your area, you've probably already invited all of your Marshmallow friends over for the viewing. (And if you're a good person, you've even included those misguided few on #TeamPiz.)*

Don't worry if you're not sure what to serve.  We've complied a list of Mars-centric recipes so you can put on an epic** party that would impress the snootiest 09er.

Suggested menu items

Snickerdoodles from Wallace's spirit box. (See above for a shot of our girl actually baking them.)

Salted caramel rice krispie treats. All marshmallow-based food is fair game, Marshmallows.

Here are three different ways to make Mars Bars vodka, a frozen chocolate vodka drink. One of these methods involves shoving chopped up Mars Bars into a partially emptied vodka bottle, sealing it tightly, and running it through the dishwasher's hot cycle. Can you guess which method Sara's totally going to try?

Steak, so we can eat like the lower middle class to which we aspire. (Sorry, people at Sara's party. Nobody's getting steak.)

S'mores Cosby shots (that's chocolate pudding, marshmallow vodka and whipped cream with graham cracker crumbs and marshmallow fluff, friends).

Irish coffee (Java the Hut style or adult style, your choice).

*Don't feel bad about not inviting the #TeamDuncan weirdos. Those people are clueless.

**Spanning years and continents. Lives ruined. Blood shed. EPIC!
