I Still Want to Believe: The X-Files 20 Years Later

by Sara N.

Twenty years ago this week, one of the greatest sci fi television shows ever — in fact, one of the most highly regarded television shows regardless of genre — invaded our living rooms. On Sept. 10, 1993, The X-Files aired its pilot episode to decent ratings and even better reviews. Two decades later, its DNA has been spliced into multiple shows, it regularly appears on high-profile "best of" lists, and its fans still want to believe.

This week at Stellar Four, we're covering all things X-Files, from its best villains to its most memorable guest stars to its high and low points. We'll even take a look at how well the pilot episode holds up 20 years later.

Full disclosure: When Megan asked me to join the newly formed Stellar Four team two years ago, my first thought was, "Oooh, maybe I could write about The X-Files sometimes." So you could say I'm a bit excited about this milestone.

Grab your sunflower seeds and check back all week.
