Anywhere But Here

by Megan S.

Every once in a while, I get the urge to run away. Well, no. That's not quite right. It's more like every once in a while I get the urge to run to somewhere; to put my life on hold for just a few days and have an adventure.  When I was a kid, I wanted to run off and live in a museum, taking baths in the fountain, sleeping on the beds of ancient kings and queens, and solve a mystery just like the children in The Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler and I never really grew out of it.

Do you ever wish you could join your favorite literary protagonists as they venture for the mundane world off to a new land? I've come up with a few ideas in the poll below and you can add your own to the list using the "other" option. So, if you could, where would you go?

  1. I'd also like a ride on the Knight Bus to the Quidditch finals (with a stop in Diagon Alley to pick up some Weasley Wizarding Wheezes) - J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter (to have all of those things it would have to be post Voldemort showdown, but hey it's my adventure). Or, I'll strap on a sword and a couple 9mm Glocks and sail away with Kate and Curran - Ilona Andrews's Magic Rises. Must I only pick one? Why not "all of the above"? Oh yeah, that's why I read...
