Wanted: Suggestions for Geeky WiFi Network Names

by Sara N.

Yesterday, while the cable guy was at my place installing some wiring, he helped me set up my new wireless router. When he asked me what I wanted to name my new network, I panicked and blurted, "Winterfell!" because yay! Game of Thrones season 3 starts soon!

I bet they get crap wifi coverage.
Anyway, I knew I wanted something with a little more geek style than my old network, which was simply my last name. But I hadn't sat down and done any deep thinking on what to actually call it. So, now that I know how easy it actually is to change a network name on my new router, I've been brainstorming ideas with my husband and our friends, and we've come up with quite a list.

Give it a look. What's your favorite? What other names should I also consider? Happily, I have a main network and a guest network, so I can choose two, which is good for an indecisive person like me. (Be warned: This list grew by leaps and bounds.)

  6. I use "Camelot," the family uses "Starfleet." Given the usual disorder in my apartment though, I'm considering changing it to "The Burrow."
