The Nine Paths to Chloe King

by Megan S.

The team behind The Nine Lives of Chloe King, the new ABCFamily fantasy show about emerging cat-like demi god Chloe, has created a neat new online game.  The game, entitled The Nine Paths to Chloe King, will span three weeks and the first to solve all the puzzles wins a trip to the set.  That's not all.  It looks like some of the puzzles have their own small prizes and I have the answer to the first one for you.

The game itself is shrouded in mystery but here's what I know so far...

Here's the premise:

"On June 14th, 1995, a prophecy was discovered on a stone tablet in a remote cave near the Red Sea. Etched into this stone were Nine Paths -- instructions that lead the way to an amazing someone, known to many as The Uniter. Written in our ancient tongue, this Nine Paths Prophecy clearly states that we, the Mai, must first contact a select group of Humans — the Circle of Strangers.

"It is written, 'The Circle of Strangers must travel all Nine Paths in order to find The Uniter and help deliver a message of life or death.'

"You are a part of this select Circle. Only this group of humans can travel these Nine Paths and lead us to the one. We are honored that you stepped forward to take this journey, and we will do our best to guide you."

The premise looks like a mix of Egyptian and possibly Ukranian myths as well as a backstory created by the show's writing team.

Here's where you get the clues:

Clues will be spread around several different websites.  Begin with the game's official site.  You'll submit your answers to the puzzles there and it will also be updated every few days with clues.  Additionally, it provides a code book in pdf form that translate hieroglyphics that will most likely be very important later down the line.

Next, check out the Circle of Strangers Storify site where all related tweets with hints from participating bloggers will be collected.  The team behind the game sent out boxes filled with clues and iPads (color me jealous) loaded with info to participating bloggers.  The group of bloggers, or Circle of Strangers, will be solving the mysteries along with you.  Heroine TV has a great breakdown on what was included in the packages.

Finally, I've found a related Twitter account that looks like it might be the official one.  The account hasn't published any tweets yet nor is it verified but it's a good idea to keep an eye on it.

Here's the answer to the first puzzle:

It's "circle" so head on over and register your answer to win the limited edition engraved ... thingy.  I have no idea what it is but hey, who doesn't love free stuff?  Write your answer in the box on the right hand side of the screen where you see "enter code."

Here's what I'm talking about:

If you've gotten this far but haven't heard of the show I'm referring to before now, watch the trailer.  It looks like fun!
