Nerd Up Your Kitchen with ThinkGeek

by Megan S.
Sorry to get your hopes up. This is temporarily out of stock till 3/11. :(
I was checking out the new items available on ThinkGeek Thursday morning when I spied with my little eye a trend among the latest products, geeky gear for the kitchen!

Check out the rest of the goodies after the jump.
Om nom nom.
Pac-Man cookies are the perfect thing to pair with a cup of TARDIS tea.  Add a little pink frosting bow to the guy and make him Ms. Pac-Man.  Wait... did I just stumble on the secret?  Is Pac-Man really a transvestite?  How very progressive of Namco and Atari in the early 1980s.

Cookies are delicious rebel scum. Destroy them by nibbling on their chocolate studded bodies.
What better place to store your gender-bending cookies than in a Death Star cookie jar?

Ooooh and it's retro, too!
Don't feel like having tea and cookies for a snack?  How about toast and coffee? The toaster sears "bite me," "ugh," and an artist rendition of what I look like when I first wake up on the slices.  Bonus: it comes with a USB cup warmer.
Move over PBS's Jose Andres. There's a new a molecular gastronomist in town.
Molecular gastronomy is a collection of techniques that top chefs around the world have been experimenting with over the past few years.  Preparing foods with the thickeners, emulsifiers, and binders allows chefs to serve foods like you've never experienced them like beets in froth form or caviar like balls of balsamic vinegar.  ThinkGeek's Molecular Cuisine Starter kit provides the basic tools and instructions for home experimentation.

One beer to rule them all.
So, when you fail completely and utterly at your first attempt to make beet froth (and by you, I mean me), drown your sorrows in this Lord of the Rings stein.

Fetch me my groceries, Sir Timmy!
I have the smaller version of this bag and it's great for using at farmers markets.  It folds down into a little ball that's easy to shove in the bottom of my purse.  It's also a good idea to have a reusable bag handy when you to have venture out at 1AM to the supermarket to pick up the chocolate chips you forgot to buy earlier for the cross-dressing Pac-Man cookies you're going to make.
